The Wheatbelt Development Commission is seeking nominations to fill one community representative vacancy on its Board.
The Wheatbelt Development Commission is a Statutory Authority established under the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993. Its purpose is to promote balanced economic and social development in the Wheatbelt Region.
In accordance with the Regional Development Commissions Act 1993, nominees for the community vacancy must reside in the Region and can be nominated by a community organisation or themselves. Terms of appointment will be from one to three years. The Minister for Regional Development, Hon Don Punch MLA will make the appointment to the Board after consultation with WA State Cabinet.
The Commission is seeking nominations from people with the following experience:
- Understanding of key issues impacting the development of the Region;
- Demonstrated involvement in either the economic, and/or social development of the Region; and
- The ability to work cooperatively to achieve agreed goals across a wide range of issues and stakeholders.
Please note the closing date for nominations is at 4:00pm on 30 September 2024.
