The Wheatbelt Development Commission is now seeking applications for Round 6 of the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program.
Up to $150,000 is available for individual projects in the Wheatbelt that contribute to increasing or sustaining jobs, expanding or diversifying industry, developing skills or capability, increasing business productivity, and attracting new investment to the region.
The Western Australian State Government has committed $50.85 million over nine years (2018-19 to 2026-27) toward the RED Grants program, which is aimed at supporting long-term economic development and job sustainability in WA’s regions.
Across regional WA, more than $31.9 million has been allocated towards 317 approved projects during the first five rounds, for initiatives including industry development, Aboriginal business development, agricultural diversification and tourism expansion.
